Substitute Ian Stonebridge was the added-time hero at Home Park on Saturday when he scored Argyle's 2-1 winner.
The Pilgrims had gone 1-0 down to an early first-half Steven McPhee goal, and with the score line still the same 10 minutes into the second half, Argyle boss Paul Sturrock sent on substitutes Stonebridge and Martin Phillips.
Phillips got the equaliser, before Stonebridge coolly slotted home from 12 yards to bag the three points.
The Home Park side remain in second place, one point behind Bristol City at the top, and four points clear of QPR in third.
