Yeovil crashed to a 3-2 defeat at relegation haunted Darlington on Saturday.

The Glovers went behind to a 20th minute Barry Conlon goal, but Yeovil struck back almost immediately with an excellent strike from Lee Johnson.

But a big turning point came in the 33rd minute when Neil Wainwright's long shot crept inside the post to put Darlington back in front. But Yeovil protested that at least one Darlington player was in an offside position and impeded the sight of keeper Chris Weale.

Premiership referee Dermot Gallagher allowed the goal to stand and then soon afterwards made another harsh decision when he sent off Yeovil defender Paul Terry for a professional foul on Neil Teggart.

Gallagher evened things up in the second period when he showed Teggart a red card.

But Darlington sealed the match when Wainwright got through and scored his second of the match, although Yeovil brought the match back to 3-2 with a close range Adam Lockwood goal in the closing stages.
