SOMERSET paceman Gareth Andrew, who finished second in the Somerset 2003 bowling averages, has undergone an operation on his shoulder.
Coach Kevin Shine said this week: "This is a repetitive strain injury from bowling and throwing but it is nothing too serious and we expect Gareth to be back bowling again in March.
"We have been led to believe that there will be no long-term effects from the operation,"
Meanwhile, Somerset's 23-year-old pace bowler Simon Francis sets out for England A's tour of Malaysia and India which gets underway next week.
