CONCERNING the recent suggestion, emanating from the European Union, that the European flag be placed in the bottom right corner of the British "Red Duster" flag, flown by British Merchant Shipping.
Perhaps it is time to place the British Union flag in the top left-hand corner of the European Union Flag, to remind Europe that had Britain not stood alone in 1940, fighting Nazi domination, the European Union would in fact be under Jack Boot domination and not free - even to think up daft suggestions!
