Chard faced the recently formed Ivel Barbarians for the first time on January 17.
The Barbarians were formed from Yeovil and Westlands and currently top the Southern Counties (S).
They knocked out Chard from the fourth round of the Somerset Blackthorn Cup with a 27-8 victory at Yeovil but there was no shame in the defeat.
