MORE than 400 athletes pushed themselves to the limit at the 13th annual Taunton Deane Foot Anstey Triathlon around Wellington Sports Centre.

Sponsors Foot Anstey solicitors led by example, with 13 staff competiting and prize winners in three categories – Alan Hughes in the senior male sprint, Anna Roderick runner-up in the senior female novice event and Penny Eyre, first woman supervet in the novice section.

The swimming was in the sports centre pool, the cycling on the roads towards Wiveliscombe and Milverton and the run on footpaths and lanes, with volunteers acting as marshalls.

Andrew Hannam, partner at Foot Anstey and regular competitor, said: “It was an incredible turnout of both competitors and supporters.

“I was particularly proud of the amount of our staff that entered and of those who won their categories too.

“Particular thanks must go to the marshalls who gave up their time to help and to the staff at Wellington Sports Centre for making us so welcome once again.”
