SINGERS of all ages will congregate in Wellington this Sunday for an intense day of choral workshops culminating in a concert.

Up to 250 people of all ages will be taking part at Wellington School under the leadership of inspirational musician and composer Will Todd to perform his jazz infused Mass in Blue.

Will will lead the large chorus during the day before being joined by his Jazz Trio and soprano soloist Bethany Halliday, for the concert at 5.30pm in Wellington's Great Hall.

Wellington's Director of Music Andrew Trewhella said:"This is an exciting yet accessible piece and I know everyone will have a lot of fun with it. Will is an inspirational musician."

Mass in Blue was composed in 2003 and has already been recorded twice and performed all round the world.

Those taking part will include parents, governors, staff, students and the wider community. Singers will include the school's choral society, the chapel choir, Girlforce9, Classicelle, BVox and the Male Voice Group was well as singing students. But anyone is welcome to join in at £10 a head.
