CHILDREN from a Taunton primary school got to try out an historic church organ as part of a £75,000 restoration project.
Pupils from Holy Trinity Primary School and youngsters from Playaway Playgroup saw behind the scenes of the rare, original Victorian instrument at Holy Trinity Church.
Fundraising events for the appeal included a spring fete on May 22, and a ‘sung Eucharist’ and address on May 23, followed by a choral evensong and benediction.
Donations made out to HTC PCC Organ fund, and can be sent to: The Organ Restoration Committee, Holy Trinity Church, Trinity Street, Taunton TA1 3JG.
