PUPILS from Dunster First School put in a strong performance at this year's county tennis finals.
Two teams from the school competed in the Year 4 finals after coming first and second in the West Somerset district tournament at Minehead Tennis Club.
Jonah Clark, Georgina Farmer, Aaron Griffiths and Libby Carpenter played for the Dunster A team and Charlie Howell, Ellie Matravers, Oliver Greenway and Kyla Stothard played for Dunster B.
The Dunster A team went on to gain second place in the county in a tournament where high standards of tennis were displayed.
Headteacher Peter Hoyland said: “All of the children represented our school and West Somerset brilliantly.
“They played some wonderful tennis and showed great sportsmanship in all of their matches.”
Eight teams from Somerset competed in the finals in Taunton's Blackbrook Pavillions.
The teams were put into two pools of four teams with the children playing singles and mixed doubles matches against each other.
