A DEVELOPMENT of 40 new affordable homes has been opened at Hyde Lane, Creech St Michael, by Knightstone Housing Association and SHAL Housing.
Thirty of the properties are for social rent, with ten for shared ownership.
The scheme, which includes flats, bungalows and two- and three-bedroom houses, was built in conjunction with Taunton Deane Council.
Knightstone chief executive Nick Horne said the scheme would play a key role providing much-needed affordable accommodation.
He said: “We’ve worked hard to ensure the new homes are suitable in terms of the character of the area and the existing landscaping as well as providing much needed accommodation for around 85 people.”
