Final meeting for long-standing Taunton and Somerset nurses
TAUNTON and Somerset Hospitals Nurses League, set up in 1957 for former School of Nursing trainees to stay in touch, held its last meeting last week.
Due to changing training methods, there have been no new members for some time and the league folded after a replacement could not be found when Barbara Culverwell stood down as chairman.
Members of the group, which has raised funds for various charities over the years, have agreed to meet up informally in the autumn.
