BLACKDOWN Youth Club's first fete and art and photography exhibition raised almost £600 for St Margaret's Hospice.
Visitors flooded into Deane Discovery Centre and browsed the exhibition and stalls while Somerset band, In the Shade, provided entertainment.
Fundraising from members meant that £580 was collected, with area development officer from the hospice, Andrew Punter, delivering a letter of thanks to the club.
Andrew said: “It is a great pleasure to be able to work with the Blackdown Youth Club. The standard of the artwork was absolutely fantastic and the money raised is a wonderful testament to the hard work put in by everyone.”
