SOMERSET looks set to avoid the rain today despite a day of heavy overcast conditions.
In their south west summary, Met Office said: "A dull and cloudy start to the day with hill and coastal fog lingering. Staying rather cloudy with some light outbreaks of rain/drizzle towards the west.
"Turning brighter further east with some sunny spells. Feeling mild for all."
The maximum temperature is set reach around 14C, before falling to a minimum of 10C overnight.
Tomorrow's forecast said: "Staying mostly dry for all through Wednesday although dull and cloudy, particularly in the west. Some brightness is possible further east. Feeling mild."
The temperature is set to peak around 16C.
