FUN was had by all at Wellington's Wacky Wednesday event.

More than 150 children and families enjoyed a morning of fun on February 15, as they gathered to take part in activities.

Malcolm the Magician arrived at the Methodist Church to entertain the guests.

Knightstone Housing, Tone Leisure, Churches Together, Taunton Deane Borough Council and Wellington getset Children’s Centre shared resources, staffing and costs to bring the half-term activity to Wellington families.

Mayor of Taunton Deane, Vivienne Stock-Williams said: “It was so lovely to see everyone having so much fun.”

The morning activity was the first of many planned for this year.

Cllr Jane Warmington, executive councillor for community leadership, said: “Activity days are an important way for a local community to come together easily and spend the day out without the need to travel far.

"Joining in is simple when it's on the doorstep so I'm not surprised that Wacky Wednesday in Wellington has been another great success.”
