WEST Buckland Primary School raised more than £300 during an event that took place throughout the village.
The school held an event where families were asked to make displays depicting children’s books and place them around the village and raised a total of £332.81.
Participants were then asked to travel around the village and guess what the displays were portraying.
The top team with the most correct answers won a hamper, as did the best display winner.

Deputy mayor Hazel Prior-Sankey judged the displays.
One of the organisers, Miranda Petty, said: “We had a really good day and a good turn out. We’d like to thank Tesco, Morrisons, B&M in Tiverton, Coop, Waitrose, Wellington One Stop and Booker for the Easter donations. Thanks also to Mr Miles for supplying the tea.”
