MORE than £2,000 was raised at a hospital fete in Wellington.
The event was organised by the League of Friends of Wellington Hospital and was held in Wellington Prep School.
Record numbers of attendees showed up to the event.
Nurseries from the area donated to the plant sale and other stalls were available selling items from books to cakes.
League chairman, Hilda Thornton, said: “It had such a lovely friendly feel to it and I am absolutely amazed by the generosity of local businesses and individuals.
"People obviously really value their community hospital, and rightly so. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us in so many ways.”

During the past year the group has bought pieces of equipment for both the hospital and Straffield House, including specialist chairs for each room in the hospital, a new bath, IT equipment for Stratfield and funded days out.
It also pay for fresh flowers to be placed in the outpatients waiting room and in the hospital day room as well as continue to fund aromatherapy sessions for hospital patients.
