Councillor's call to keep business rates in Somerset
BUSINESS rates collected in Somerset should be spent in the county and not shared out by central Government, leading councillors have said.
Cllr David Huxtable, resources boss at Somerset County Council, said: “We’re working with district councils, and having a local business rates pool will provide an incentive for us to all do more joint working to drive economic growth.”
