Both lanes of the A38 are now open again and all vehicles involved in the collision, including the service 22A double decker bus, have been removed from the scene.
WITNESS Barry Roberts who was driving along the road at the time of the crash said he heard a loud thud behind him and saw a head on collision between two cars in his rear view mirror.

A POLICE spokesman said the incident happened just after 8am and ambulance and fire crews attended the scene.
