EXTREME swimmer Haydn Welch will have to attempt his ice mile swim all over again because the water was two-tenths of a degree too warm to count.
The Taunton jeweller, who is raising money for breast cancer charity CoppaFeel, travelled to Lake Windermere last weekend when water temperatures were just over the 4.99 degrees specified in the rules.
Undeterred, Haydn now plans to travel to Kent this weekend where he hopes the weather won’t let him down again.
The competition to win a watch worth £75 will run until Haydn can reveal the results of his second swim.
