A POLICE bid to improve road safety is off to a flying start.
More than 1,000 people have already signed up for Avon and Somerset Constabulary’s free Road Smart driving awareness programme.
A police spokesman said: “The statistics are scary – 95% of all collisions are caused by human error and a third of all serious crashes involve people aged 17-24. We are therefore keen for as many people as possible to attend a free two-hour session to improve their driving.”
Sessions are available in Taunton and are bookable for 17 to 24-year-olds and for those aged 25 and over.
