THE electricity supply to Taunton’s multi-storey Orchard car park, in Paul Street, will be disrupted on Friday evening (June 24), which could cause minor problems for drivers using the facility.
Western Power Distribution will be working on underground power cables in the area and has advised of disruption to the supply between 6pm and 8pm.
A Taunton Deane Borough Council spokeswoman said: "This will mean that lifts to the upper storeys will be out of action from 6pm until the car park closes at 7pm.
"Signs will be put up advising drivers of the situation and civil enforcement officers will be patrolling the car park to help customers as necessary.
"Emergency lighting will come into effect that will provide background light in the car park."
