SPARKS: Fire screws were called to a sparking electricity pole on West Street, Wiveliscombe
A SPARKING electricity pole has been cause for concern in Wiveliscombe.
At 9.53am this morning three fire engines from Wiveliscombe and Wellington were called to West Street to reports an electricity pole was sparking.
On arrival crews confirmed there were flames issuing from the pole and were standing by awaiting the arrival of Western Power.
Crews also cordoned off the lane where the pole was situated for public safety.
Western Power was in attendance and crews assisted them.
