IT is Father's Day today, and dads across the country are hoping to wake up to breakfast in bed.
But why do we celebrate the day devoted to dads?
Well, the idea apparently originated in the USA, and was adopted here in 1966.
It is now celebrated every third Sunday in June.
According to website fathersdayuk.co.uk, the day was inspired by the success of Mother's Day in Spokane, Washington.
Today, the day has been somewhat more commercialised in the form of cards and gifts.
But they deserve, it right?
What are you doing to celebrate Father's Day? Give your dad a special shout out by telling us what you're up to today.
