DAMAGE to a road surface in the Blackdown Hills has been revealed as the floodwaters subside.

The photos here were sent in by Alison Weekes and show the road surface ripped up like carpet at a ford near Clayhidon and a shot of a farmer attempting to rescue sheep in the village earlier in the week.

Would be helpful to know where this road is, the Blackdown Hills cover a large area!

There is only one ford at Clayhidon.

If the Gazette took the time to research it properly, if you take a map and Google street map you can clearly see its Hidewood Lane, looking south!

At least you got the in Somerset bit right, its just inside the Somerset/Devon border, the ford forms the boundary.

Now who do I send my consultancy bill to?
