FAMILIES packed the streets of Wellington on Saturday (December 1) for the town's Christmas lights switch-on.

Youngsters from Beech Grove Primary School switched the lights on while crowds were warmed by entertainment from the Wellington Majorettes and Wellington Pantomime Group's cast of Alice in Wonderland.
