Rotary Club raises £2,400 for charities
A SERIES of street collections in Wellington have raised nearly £2,400 for two local charities thanks to the hard work of the Rotary Club of Wellington.
Rotary’s Christmas float roamed the streets of Wellington with Santa on board collecting donations for SeeAbility and Wellington Stroke Club.
Rotary member Bob Mills said it had been another successful year of collections.
He said: “We’ve raised about the same amount as last year, and it has been very successful once again.
“People have been very generous and we’re very grateful for their donations.”
