WELLINGTON Mayor Dave Mitton officially opened the town’s new Budgens store last week.
The store, part of a new development at Westpark 26 business park in Chelston, will stock an extensive range of products from everyday essentials and food-onthe-go to fresh food and local products.
Westpark 26 is a 50-acre mixeduse business park less than a mile from Junction 26 of the M5.
This represents a double success for the local area, as the company which built the near £1m project is Wiveliscombe firm SCF.
SCF director Shaun Stacey said: “The whole team at SCF has worked incredibly hard to complete another successful project, and thanks must go to Bob Davey, Ian Smith and the whole team – we wish John Mason from Peregrine Retail many years of successful trading with his new site. We shall certainly all be using it.”
Budgens director Mike Baker said: “We are delighted to be working with John to bring Budgens to Wellington.
“The new forecourt is in a good location, has a really interesting product range and will offer something new for local shoppers.”
