WELLINGTON based charity Reminiscence Learning has received funding from Somerset County Council ‘s Care Act Reaching Out Fund.
It means the charity can deliver its Remembering Yesterday, Caring Today sessions.
The fortnightly sessions are for people with dementia and their carers and alternate between group reminiscence and carers support.
The sessions start again on Wednesday March 30 and volunteers are needed to help.
The work Reminiscence Learning do was praised at a recent Diagnosing Dementia event.
Professor Alistair Burns, praised the work for making links between improved diagnosis rates in Somerset and the Archie Project.
Community sessions continue every Wednesday afternoon 2pm-4pm at it’s base in Tonedale. For more information, contact the team at Reminiscence Learning on 01823-668676 or office@reminiscencelearning.co.uk
