WEST Somerset's Morris Men are looking for some women.
The popular traditional dance group say a lack of numbers means they have to turn down bookings.
Now the Morris Men have launched an appeal for women - and men - to join the group.
At the recent celebrations to mark the 50th Anniversary of the West Somerset Morris Men Joe Raucki announced the formation of a mixed Morris side based in West Somerset.
He said: “We are in the early stages of discussions but it is our intention to outline our proposals shortly with a view to starting practice later in the summer.
“We will be inviting any interested men and women to come along to taster sessions.
“This is an important development for Morris dancing in West Somerset and we are hoping that it will go from strength to strength”
He added: “The West Somerset Morris Men will still carry on as a separate group for at least another fifty years.”
