Judith Searle and Josh Searle went for a run - and raised hundreds of pounds for the Vision Aid Overseas.

Judith of BR James Opticians and Josh of Deso Engineering in Williton ran last week's London 10 K for the charity.

Both said it was a tough run but with the continuing support from the crowds Judith crossed the line in a respectable time just over the 1 hour mark.

"With 20,000 competitors the first 10 minutes was very slow getting through the streets of London which unfortunately meant I was unable to up my pace to break the one hour barrier that I had set my goal on," said Judith.

"Both Josh and myself had a great run and Josh did manage to get a more respectable time of 55 minutes. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has generously sponsored me with this great cause. We have now raised over £870 towards our target of £1500 so with a planned quiz to be held in September at Washford Village Hall, fingers crossed we should reach our target of £1500."
