WEST Somerset has a new homes moves adviser to help residents mutually exchange homes.

With part funding provided by Hinkley Point C Community Impact Mitigation Fund, Magna Homes have brought in Grace Goddard to help social housing residents who want swap homes in the Hinkley Point priority areas of Watchet, Williton, Minehead and Stogursey.

The hope is that this will help free up houses in preparation for the high number of workers expected to come to the area for the building of Hinkley Point C.

Miss Goddard said: “We try to use our resources wisely so I’m hoping to make best use of Magna’s properties, working with other organisations to provide mutual exchange opportunities and help residents to downsize where possible to free up family homes.

“I can help residents to apply and advertise their homes on Homefinder Somerset, find suitable properties to move to, arrange viewings, help to organise removal companies, help them contact utility companies and other aspects of moving home,” she added.

The role does not just apply to Magna residents but any housing association or council tenants in the area. For more information phone Grace on 01984 635122 or email grace.goddard@magna.org.uk.
