A MOTORIST from Watchet had slurred speech and was unable to balance properly after being stopped by police in West Street, Bridgwater.
Joanne Louise Henderson, of Culvercliffe Road, appeared before Taunton Magistrates Court on Monday where she was banned for three years after admitted driving while unfit through drugs.
The court was told this was 39-year-old Henderson's second offence for driving under the influence of drink or drugs in the last ten years.
A breath test conducted by police proved negative but a urine sample showed traces of methadone and benzodiazepines.
Henderson also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence or insurance.
She was ordered to pay a total of £280. This was made up of fines of £175, prosecution costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.
