TWO West Somerset College students have organised a fun run to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer in memory of their nans.
Student Cory Taylor said: "The reason me and my friend Amanda decided to organise this fun run is because both of our nans passed away to this horrible disease and we want to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer as together we can beat cancer."
Cory approached Peggy Richardson, assistant manager of the Cancer Research shop in Minehead, to ask for help organising the event and she duly obliged.
The fun run will take place on the field at West Somerset College this Saturday and will begin at 11am.
There will also be a competition running between the tutor groups at the College and whichever tutor group raises the most money from sponsorship will receive a group prize kindly donated by Mrs Richardson.
There will be an entrance fee payable on the day of £2 for adults and £1 for under 16 year olds.
