PORLOCK held its traditional summer carnival with the colourful procession heading through the heart of the village.

The fun-filled event had something for all the family with decorated floats, lots of fantastic fancy dress, carnival princesses and music.

The carnival ran through the picturesque Exmoor village on Saturday, September 3.

There were also plenty of street entertainers and a Punch and Judy show to keep the little ones amused.

Money raised by the carnival goes toward local charities and needy causes.

A spokesman for Porlock Carnival said: "Thank to all those that came and supported us despite the weather.

"And to all those carnival entries that put so much effort in and turned up in the showers. Without you all, there would be no carnival!"
