MILES Tea & Coffee is celebrating 20 years of producing quality tea in Minehead.

To celebrate MP for Bridgwater and West Somerset Ian Liddell-Grainger joined the team for a morning cuppa.

Mr Liddell-Grainger was given a full tour of of the tea production line in Minehead and coffee production in Porlock.

The Conservative MP was also invited to launch something hot off the roaster, a new range of Miles coffee packaging.

Mr Liddell-Grainger said: "It has been a real privilege to visit the Miles factory 20 years after MP Tom King opened the site.

"It has been fantastic to officially launch the new coffee packaging and hear the Miles vision from the board of directors."

Managing director John Cridge said: "One of the major changes with the new coffee is a large investment in printing bespoke packaging for each of our best selling ground coffees."

The Miles family have been producing tea and coffee for more than 120 years, with the business relocating from the midlands to Somerset in the 1960's.

Two decades ago tea production moved from Porlock to the purpose built factory in Minehead where millions of teabags are produced every month.
