ONE of the premier events of the Kilve calendar, the Annual Antiques and Collectors Fair is set to take place tomorrow (Easter Monday).

The fair, which is organised by the local church, is held in the gracious surroundings of Kilve Court and is sure to feature some fascinating items for sale.

The event was initially set up to help support a project to restoration of the church - however with the work completed four years ago, the event has become more of a village fundraiser.

As well as supporting the upkeep of the church, the fair boosts the coffers of other organisations such as the village hall and cricket team.

Chief organiser Dorothy Lloyd reports that, once again, all available space for the various stalls has been allocated which omens well for the many visitors that the fair usually attracts. Facilities at the fair include car parking and refreshments including the serving of light lunches.

Kilve Court is situated in the very heart of the village on the A39 and the entrance will be well signposted on the day. The Fair opens at 10am in the morning and remains open until 4pm. Anyone wishing additional information may contact Dorothy Lloyd on 01643 822551 or the Church Treasurer, Robbie Rutt on 01278 741594.
