A PIECE of railway history is going up for sale to raise money to re-build the footbridge at Williton Station.
An original Victorian railway ticket cabinet will be sold at Lawrence's Auctioneers.
Lawrence's Auctioneer Simon Jones said: “This is a lovely piece of Railway memorabilia for a collector and will also help funds for a railway project.
“It is part of a large section of railway items which will be sold in the autumn.”
The cabinet was bought from Chapelton Station, near Barnstaple in 1984, 20 years after it closed. Apart from a re-paint, the cabinet it is in its original state.
The cabinet goes on sale at the Crewkerne auctioneers on October 28.
