A RAINED-OFF world record attempt has been rescheduled for later this year.

Wellington-based Reminiscence Learning, planned to attempt to set a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest gathering of people dressed as scarecrows in May.

It was part of the organisation's family fun day for Archie's Record Breaking Birthday, however wet weather meant the event had to be postponed.

Now, organisers have set a new date for the event.

It will be taking place on Saturday, October 2 at Goodland Gardens in Taunton from 10am to 4pm.

There will be plenty for all the family to see and do including stands, fun fair rides, food, stalls and much more.

People are being encouraged to sign up to be part of the World Record attempt.

Anyone who would like to be part of the record attempt needs to register their interest, you will then be sent an information pack.
