FIRE: Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue called to a chimney fire on Burges Lane, Wiveliscombe
AN accidental chimney fire broke out in Wiveliscombe.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue crews were called to Burges Lane to reports of a fire.
One engine from Wiveliscombe attended around 5pm yesterday (January 29).
Fire crews confirmed a chimney fire involving an open hearth and got to work extinguishing the fire using chimney gear, a thermal image camera and safety-at-height equipment to remove part of the chimney pot that was in a dangerous position.
