CLAREMONT took on Tomahawks, of Paulton, at home.
The game was close until half time but the last 30 minutes saw Tomahawks take control, despite the best efforts of player of the match Ali Nelson (GS).

GALMINGTON Netball Club’s team of the month for September, Queensway, entertained Walton.
The defence made plenty of turnovers, setting up a fluid attack.
Player of the match went to Debbie Bere for a very determined game at GD.

PARKFIELD found Avalon just a little too much on Saturday.
Despite the brilliant of Jess Bullock (GA), the team finished 10 goals down.

TRIDENT played host to Crossbow of Bristol, and an outstanding performance from Jazz Hainsworth was not enough to prevent Trident losing out.

NEWBARN took their first win of the season against Thorns of Glastonbury.
New club member Vic Nation (WD) was player of the match.

Hovelands 55, Abbey 38
HOVELANDS retained their winning streak with a 17-goal win against Abbey.
They settled well in the first quarter, taking a seven-goal lead.
Abbey fought back, but Hovelands upped their game to seal the win.

Galmington 47, Almondsbury 46
GALMINGTON played Almondsbury away and made a poor start.
However, they came from seven down to take the game by a single goal.

AT junior level, Galmington Under-14s A enjoyed a 24-11 win over Purnell thanks to a spirited performance and great teamwork.
The Under-14s B team fought out a tight contest with their Bridgwater counterparts on Sunday, ultimately losing out 15-11.
And finally, Galmington Under-12s showed plenty of positive attitude in a 22-5 defeat to a very strong Keinton team.

Taunton Vivary 44, Cornwall Saints 45
Vivary lost a close-fought thriller at home to Cornwall’s Saints on Sunday.
The hosts began well, confident after their win last week, but it was an even first quarter that ended with Saints 12-11 up.
An injury to Vivary’s GA saw them struggle to settle in the second quarter, Saints capitalising to lead 25-22.
Vivary found their flow again in the third quarter, and their accurate play closed the gap to 34-32.
Vivary levelled late on, but Saints scored the winning goal on the final whistle.

Yeovil Newton 44, Taunton Tone 53
TONE enjoyed a good start against Newton, with interceptions and very few mistakes helping them lead 13-10.
The second quarter was very close, and it was 26-24 at halfway.
The third quarter was Tone’s strongest (43-32), as they maintained their unbeaten start to the season.

Yeovil Hendford 45, Taunton Monmouth 35
A WELL-FOUGHT first quarter saw Monmouth trail Hendford by five goals (12-7).
The hosts then stepped up a gear to move 23-15 ahead.
Monmouth kept pushing, with mother/daughter duo Helen and Becky Lucas combining well, but Hendford earned the victory.

QUANTOCK clearly travelled well, as they raced ahead 15-5.
The hosts fought back, and it was 23-19 at half time.
Quantock’s defence worked tirelessly, as the teams exchanged the lead late on, before ending honours even.

Yeovil Reckleford 46, Taunton Blackdown 29
BLACKDOWN began well but ended the first quarter trailing 14-11.
Reckleford extended their lead (23-15). Blackdown tweaked their line-up to score more goals (33-25), but Reckleford took the win.
