SOMEONE’S 'O' has got to go tomorrow night, as Taunton boxer Pawel Augustynik faces fellow undefeated prospect Sebastian Slusarczyk at Bristol’s Ashton Gate.

Augustynik’s big-hitting opponent enters the ring in fine form, knocking out his last three challengers, with two of the stoppages coming in round one.

Ahead of the step up in class, Augustynik said: “We are both putting our perfect records on the line, so the pressure is on.

“I’ve boxed under pressure on my way to amateur titles, so I’m confident I’ll deal with the occasion.”

Before turning professional, the Taunton-based light heavyweight claimed international titles and now looks to replicate this success in the pro ranks.

“If I am to reach the same heights as I did in my amateur days, I need to be winning on Friday and winning well,” Augustynik said.

“I’m well prepared and switched on, I need to be; this guy carries power, his record shows that.”

He added: “I would like to say thanks to all my sponsors, as without their support my boxing career would not be possible.

“So thanks to Growth Technology, The Inner Garden, The Victoria Gate, P&P Autos, GC Tiling Specialist, Rest & Relax - Sports & Holistic Massage Therapies, Taunton Training Centre and Activate Fitness.”
