TAUNTON Town Football Club's match against Slough Town scheduled for this evening (Tuesday, December 5) has been postponed.
This is due to a waterlogged pitch at the Somerset Campervan Co Stadium after a long period of rain on Monday and over the weekend.
It follows their abandoned game at the weekend just gone and a spate of postponements due to weather in recent weeks.
The club said: "Unfortunately this evening’s Vanarama National League South game at home to Slough Town has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch following an inspection.
"The deluge during the past 24 hours has left the Somerset Campervan Co Stadium pitch unplayable with no prospect of it being in a fit state in 24 hours’ time. A revised date for the fixture will be announced in due course."
Weather permitting, the Peacocks are next in action this coming Saturday (December 9) when they host Farnborough in the National League, kick off is 3.00pm.
