TAUNTON Town have confirmed the signing of a young defender on a permanent move from Dorchester Town.
22-year-old Louie Slough has joined the Peacocks and will provide some much needed depth to the back line.
He can operate at centre half or full back, and began his career as a young pro at Torquay United.
Louie said: "I’m really excited for a new challenge in my career. Taunton is a massive club that I know well. My dad spent a bit of time here as a player and he couldn’t speak highly enough of the club and fans.
"When I got told about this opportunity it was a no brainer, especially being a league higher and closer to home.”
And Head of Football Rob Dray added: "Louie is a great young talent with some good pedigree and who is hungry to kick on at Taunton, as we have done with so many young players during the past five years.
"With the loss of Jake at the start of the season and then Jay we needed some left-side balance so Louie will undoubtedly help us in that department, and I look forward to seeing him develop further with us."
