TAUNTON Town's rearranged match against Yeovil Town has been confirmed for Tuesday, January 9.

The match will kick off at 7.45pm and the Peacocks will be hoping to get a big crowd as the initial fixture was a sellout.

The original match that was set for New Years Eve at home against Yeovil Town was postponed.

The Peacocks confirmed the decision after a pitch inspection at 10am on Sunday, December 31.

Large periods of overnight rain caused the pitch to be waterlogged and therefor the match was postponed.

A club spokesperson said: "Today's Vanarama National League South fixture against Yeovil Town has been postponed due to a Waterlogged pitch.

It was a sell out crowd expected for the match as Taunton had sold over 2,500 tickets.

The postponing of the match will be a hit for the Taunton based club as the large crowd would have been a big revenue getter for the club.

On Boxing Day the two sides met at Huish Park where Yeovil Town were well in control winning 4-1 in front of a record breaking National League South crowd.
