Gordon Hollins’ time as Somerset CCC Chief Executive is almost at an end and the club bid him farewell at their latest fixture.

After spending four years in the role in Taunton, the CEO will depart the club at the end of April and he will be replaced by Jamie Cox.

During the current Vitality County Championship match against Nottinghamshire, Somerset players, staff, Members and supporters paid tribute to Gordon as he was presented with a photographic montage of his time at the Club by Somerset Chair, Sir Michael Barber.

Hollins then joined Peter Trego in the live stream studio to look back on his time at the helm while the play was on a break.

He discussed his time in the role, the highs and lows, the Vitality Blast win and the future of the cricket club.

A spokesperson from the club said: "Everyone associated with Somerset County Cricket Club would like to take this opportunity to thank Gordon for everything that he has done for the Club during his tenure."

Jamie Cox was seen at the ground over the weekend and it is understood he will be moving in to a new home locally in the near future.
