Errea Somerset County League: Watchet Town 5, Timsbury Athletic 1.

SEAN Kenny hit four goals as Watchet made it eight straight victories with a comfortable win at home to lowly Timsbury, in a match containing four red cards on Saturday.

Kenny fired home a left-footed shot from 25 yards to give the Red and Blacks the lead and netted a second before the break after being set up by Aaron Deeks.

He completed his hat-trick after the interval before Timsbury pulled a goal back following some sloppy defending. Watchet quickly restored their three-goal advantage through that man Kenny again before the visitors had a man sent off for a second booking.

An ugly incident followed as a scuffle saw two Timsbury players and Watchet defender Matt Cox receive straight red cards.

Watchet had the final say as Deeks netted the team’s fifth just before the final whistle. He and Kenny have now netted eight goals between them in the last two games.

Watchet host Devon and Exeter League Wellington Reserves in the Somerset Senior Cup on Saturday.
