SOMERSET currently top the LV County Championship after picking up maximum batting points on day three of their match with Durham.
James Hildreth's 105 was the highlight as of the day as Somerset made 426 in their first innings, giving them a lead of 140 over their hosts.
Durham have since regained the lead and are 163-2 as we near the close of play on day three.
Somerset are six points clear at the top of the table as things stand and will be hoping for rain at Nottingham and Headingley tomorrow, to prevent Yorkshire and Notts overtaking them.
Witha result unlikely in both of those other games should Somerset win tomorrow they will be virtually assured of the title.
