HOT-SHOT striker George Adkinson came off the bench to score a double hat-trick and fire King’s College Under 15’s to an 8-2 victory over Blundells last week.

Playing up a year, the 14-year-old - who joined King’s in September and hails from Hong Kong - was introduced into the game on 20 minutes, with King’s trailing 2-1 and made an immediate impact.

Adkinson scored three goals before half time, by which time he had helped King’s into a 4-2 lead.

He scored a further three after the interval to see King’s to a convincing victory.

In addition to Adkinson’s six the other goals came from Ollie Southon and Rob Coombes.

Chris Heayns, the Director of Football at King’s Schools said: “To score a double hat-trick in any match is an impressive achievement at any level of football, but to do so after missing the first 20 minutes makes it even more so.

He added: “George joined us from Hong Kong through our link with KCC Football Club, as did Grace Perkins and Molly Smith who are both play for our girls football teams.”
