TAUNTON School student Al Waleed Al Omair has taken part in two high-profile competitions.
He shot for Somerset after being selected for a team of 15, consisting of Recurve, Compound, Barebow and Longbow.
With Al Waleed shooting a compound bow, Somerset shot against Gloucester-shire, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire and Cornwall.
All the scores were very close and Somerset came fourth.
The following day, Al Waleed was selected to shoot for his club, Bowmen of Danesfield and the team of six came third against 15 clubs based in Somerset with Waleed achieving the highest score for junior gentlemen under the age of 18 years, receiving a medal and trophy.
