CALUM Pinn has won the Oake Manor Junior Club Championship.

He won with a gross score of 92. Ben Thompson was second with gross 97 and also won the Nett Championship with nett 65, while Josh Thompson was second with nett 67.

Jack Malden won the club’s men’s mid-week Stableford with 40 points.

In second, also with 40, was Michael Bright, while Neil Blackmore came third with 38.

Bev King won Division 1 of the Ladies Tuesday Stableford scoring 37, Rosemary Webber was second with 34 and Jenny Musgrove third also on 34.

Karen Mackenzie had 38, the best score of the day, to win Division 2, with Pat Snelling in second with 34 and Mo Young third with 31.

Jerry Winter won the Wednesday Stableford with 40, ahead of Mike Cottrell in second also on 40 and Ricky Selway in third with 38.

TAUNTON and Pickeridge Golf Club’s Ladies’ Section took part in the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Medal competition on Tuesday, which produced some good scores.

In the Silver Division, two players returned with net 68 but, following countback, it was Jenny Scobie who edged first place ahead of Lyn Gridley.

Corinne Lyon claimed third spot with 71, but only following countback.

In the Bronze Division it was Katy Davies with net 68 who was the clear winner by three shots from second-placed Pat Follett.

Two players scored 73 but, after countback, it was Vicky Davies who was third just ahead of Judy Powell.

The only two of the day was carded by Judy Powell.

The Winner of the LGU Breakthrough Breast Cancer Brooch was Jenny Scobie.

In the 9-hole Stableford, it was Anne Thomas who was the winner with 21 points, three better than second-placed Ann Williams who ended with 18.
